I am Kara Munsey. I ski, compete in big mountain events, and write about my experiences as a member of the skiing community. Using every day on the mountain as an opportunity to learn, laugh, and get rad, my goal is the translate my experiences into relatable and honest accounts of what it is like to be a lady skier.
I placed 3rd in the 2014 Rahlves' Banzai Tour at Sugarbowl Resort, and finished 10th at the Subaru Freeride Series 2015 Telluride stop. I was part of Newschoolers.com's Girls Do Shred session at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in March 2015 and have been featured in digital and print marketing material for Mammoth Mountain Ski Area (Mammoth, CA) and Perisher Resort (NSW, Australia). I coach ski racing and was the 2013 recipient of the United States Ski Association Far West's Rookie Coach of the Year.
Recently relocated from Mammoth Lakes, CA to Jackson, WY in search of deeper snow, bigger mountains, and better men. Find me, I'll be in the singles' line.
